MVCC has renewed our contract with the State Department of Ecology to administer the wood stove exchange program. This program is designed to remove harmful pollutants from the air in our valley by exchanging old, inefficient (but sometimes dearly loved) wood stoves with new ones that burn cleaner.
This exchange is 100% FREE for applicants who meet the requirements of the program: live in the Methow Valley, have a wood burning stove that is not EPA certified or was made pre-2000, and have an annual household income of less than $45,000. If you are interested please pick up an application in the box outside our front door at 305 Old Methow Highway in Twisp, or at Room One or The Cove.
