Wednesday, April 15th

• Participate in an environmental sing-in today (4/15) at 6pm via zoom by People’s Echo and Seattle 350.org Chapter. Learn the songs here.

Thursday, April 16th

• EarthX Summit in partnership with National Geographic will be holding a series of trainings, events and film screenings starting on April 16th and running until April 26th.

Friday, April 17th

• Join Washington Wild and Patagonia for virtual happy hours at 12pm 4/20 through 4/24

All Day Events

• Activist and conservation groups such as United Nations Foundations, Fridays for Future, and NRDC have teamed together to hold EARTHRISE Global Climate Strikes. 
• Earth Day Live will hold a three day Earth Day live-stream featuring activists such as Bill McKibben, Al Gore, and David Wallace Wells. Plus performances by musical guests such as Nahko the Bear, Talib Kweli and Questlove plus many more surprise guests!
• Earth Optimism Summit by Smithsonian Institute is a three-day summit focused on how we can change our mindset from doom and gloom to optimism and opportunity.

Lectures

• Xiuhtezcatl Martinez, and the NDN Collective are holding an Instagram Live on @NDNCollective’s page at 10am to discuss indigenous sovereignty, the Green New Deal, Covid-19 Response.
• 500 Women Scientists’ Earth Day Story Hour co-hosted by Front and Centered at 5pm PDT
• WA Youth Climate Strike is hosting a series of one-hour trainings from 10 am – 4 pm.
• Sunrise Tacoma is hosting three live-streamed Power Hour webinars from 3-6 pm focusing on the ways that the Green New Deal would bring about environmental, social, and economic justice.
• PCC Farmland Trust is holding a webinar on Climate Change and Farmland: Building a Resilient Future for Washington on the 22nd from 7:30-8:30pm PDT
• Elizabeth Kolbert will discuss her book, Sixth Extinction, at 7:30pm PDT on the Seattle Arts and Lectures website.

Thursday, April 23rd

• U.S. Climate Strike is hosting a Stop the Money Pipeline Day of Action as part of Earth Day Live.  Led by the Stop the Money Pipeline Coalition, the goal is to reprogram the economy so that it works for people and the planet, not polluters.
• WA Youth Climate Strike is hosting three one-hour webinars from 10 am – 1 pm focused on divestment.

Friday, April 24th

• The Greta Thunberg has asked Fridays for Future strikers around the world to use #ClimateStrikeOnline during the pandemic.
• U.S. Climate Strike is hosting a Day of Political Action and Voter Engagement.
• WA Youth Climate Strike is hosting three one-hour webinars from 10 am – 1 pm around political action.
• Screening of the Story of Plastic by Surfrider LA at 4 pm PDT
