DESCRIPTION:Return of the River follows a group of strong-minded committed people as they attempt the impossible: to change the public opinion of a town and eventually the nation to bring a dam down. The community comes to a consensus\, setting the Elwha River free and showing the way to a more sustainable future. Amid grim environmental news\, Return of the River is a film infused with hope. \nThe film will be followed by a facilitated discussion covering the Similkameen River\, Enloe Dam\, and the benefits of the restoration of the river. \nAs a ratepayer of Okanogan Public Utility District and/or a citizen of Okanogan County\, we want you to be aware of how we all can assist the Okanogan PUD\, federal and state agencies\, and the county in taking responsibility for the restoration of the Similkameen River. \nThere will be coffee\, tea\, and light refreshments.
