MVCC is committed to leading on climate change and protecting the Methow Valley for future generations. A month ago a group of volunteers gathered at the MVCC office to discuss I-1631, a new carbon pricing initiative in Washington State. You can learn more about I-1631, here.
Our group of volunteers have been busy out collecting signatures for the past few weeks and we are pleased to announce that I-1631 is now more than halfway to their goal of 260,000 signatures. We need 78,000 more signatures to guarantee I-1631 will be on the ballot this November. If you haven’t signed the initiative yet you can do so at the MVCC office M-F 9am to 5pm.
