The Methow Valley was well represented this past week during the Global Climate Strikes on Friday, September 20th. At Liberty Bell High School students organized a tree planting to symbolize their hope for humanity’s future. Over 40 students took part in the planting and are very excited about organizing more events in the future.
Over in Winthrop over 50 community members showed up to listen to and share stories about how the climate crisis has impacted them.
Please save the date for the first public meeting of the Methow Climate Action Task Force taking place on November 19th at the Methow Valley Community Center. Help create a Climate Action Plan for the Methow Watershed.
