Climate change is an urgent threat to our forests, rivers, and communities. Research shows that Washington State can apply natural solutions to the problem. We must realize these solutions by setting strong sequestration targets and developing programs that promote carbon sequestration on our natural and working lands, like S.B. 5947, the Sustainable Farm and Fields Act.
The Liberty Bell Climate Action Group, Methow Valley Citizens Council and Audubon are co-hosting an information session on this year’s legislative climate strategy, with a focus on the Sustainable Farm and Fields legislation.
