We anticipate that the long-awaited Okanogan County Comprehensive Plan will be released sometime this week. While we wait on this important document, we encourage you to sign our petition for the Citizens Alternative to the Okanogan County Comprehensive Plan. This alternative asks the County to utilize the best-available science while writing the Comprehensive Plan to ensure community safety during wildfire events, landslides and other natural disasters. Once the Comprehensive Plan is released our land-use team will work swiftly to analyze the plan and prepare suggested talking points.  We hope to have these suggested comments available two weeks after the release of the updated plan.

The County is holding a public hearing on the Comprehensive Plan and EIS on August 19th in Okanogan. We are encouraging residents and visitors of the Methow to attend this meeting and we will be assisting with facilitating carpools. Please stay tuned to our page for additional information.
