Between now and the end of the year members of the Climate Action Task Force and Planning Team will be meeting with community stakeholders to share and solicit feedback on the Plan’s strategies and recommendations. The aim of this effort is to verify that the Plan:
- accounts for the lived-experiences and perspectives of communities up and down the valley,
- equitably addresses the needs and challenges of those most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, and
- aligns with existing programs and projects that are already underway or being developed.
We would like to connect with as many stakeholders as possible. To learn how you can provide input on the plan please email MVCC’s Community Engagement Coordinator Drew Katz, at Drew@mvcitizens.org.
Save December 10th for next Resilient Methow event!
On December 10th from 5-7pm the Methow Valley community is invited to attend a virtual public event that will provide an update on the progress of the plan, present the draft strategies and recommendations, and discuss our path to implementation in 2021. This will be an important opportunity for you to provide meaningful feedback. Additional details and a registration link to be sent out later this fall.
