Despite assertions from Congressman Newhouse to the contrary, there are many in the Methow Valley and throughout Okanogan County who support the recovery of grizzlies in the North Cascades Ecosystem. Bernhardt’s decision does not reflect the beliefs of residents who would like to see an intact population of grizzlies and a healthy North Cascades ecosystem.

We encourage you to contact Rep. Dan Newhouse to voice your support for grizzly bear recovery efforts. Let him know you are disappointed in his decision to oppose grizzly restoration efforts.
