If you have felt that your voice is not being heard by your elected officials and you want to make a direct impact on issues that matter in your community then here is your chance. Okanogan County is soliciting scoping comments on the Okanogan County Comprehensive Plan until Friday, January 18th. You could help direct the future of the Methow Valley and Okanogan County for generations to come.
No matter what your background is, your voice matters.
-Are you a seasonal worker who struggles with the lack of affordable housing in the Methow?
-Are you a tourist who enjoys spending nights gazing up at our beautiful star filled skies and want to ensure your grandkids have the same experience?
-Are you a valley local who doesn't want to see the Methow go the way of Telluride, Aspen or Tahoe?
-Are you a multi-generation farmer who is concerned about future water quantity?
-Are you a powder hound who wants to keep skiing for years to come but are worried about future snowpack?
Then you should submit a comment letter to the Roxane Robbins (rrobbins@co.okanogan.wa.us) by Friday, January 18th at 5pm! In your comments, please include your support for including analysis of MVCC's proposed Alternative 4 in the Environmental Impact Statement.
Together we can ensure that our voices are heard and that our valley remains the beautiful place it is today, for generations to come.
