September 30 – For 50 years, MVCC has rallied our community to speak up for the Methow. For 50 years, our community has given its voice to protect the Valley. This Give Methow season, will you speak up for the Methow through a generous gift to MVCC?

Give Methow is an annual online fundraising campaign in October that supports Methow Valley nonprofits, including MVCC. It’s an opportunity for people who love our Valley to help guard our natural environment and preserve our rural character. Throughout our history, we have supported projects that protect our land, water, and air quality.

This year, your support helped MVCC:

  • Prepare 4 students from Liberty Bell’s student Climate Club to travel to Olympia and advocate for stronger wildfire response
  • Monitor changes in air quality using 34 affordable monitors through our Clean Air Ambassador Program with hopes to add new monitors this year
  • Partner with 31 local nonprofits, public agencies, and businesses to combine local knowledge and expertise to accomplish more together
  • Replace older wood stoves with cleaner heating options, totaling 95 stoves since we began this work in 2019
  • Read our Annual Impact Report to see all that we accomplished together!

Everyone plays a role in speaking up for the Methow, and our work promoting environmental education, engagement, and advocacy can only be done thanks to you. Whether you are a first-time donor, or a seasoned member of MVCC, we hope you will support MVCC to protect Methow Valley’s iconic ecosystem. This month, we will be highlighting local community members who speak up on behalf of our Valley on our Instagram and Facebook channels.

We hope that you will become part of our story by speaking up for the Methow through your support this October. Your gift directly supports MVCC’s mission to raise a strong community voice to protect the natural environment and rural character of the Methow Valley.
