The comment period has been extended on the Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance for a proposed county ordinance opening WATV routes on 91 miles of roads.
While this proposal opens WATV routes in District 1 and District 2 outside of the Methow Valley, MVCC’s comments reflect our concerns about the process and proposed mitigations used for opening roads, especially regarding signage and identification of critical areas.
We are asking the county to walk their talk before opening more routes.
Read our Comments Here.
The proposal and SEPA documents are available by clicking “WATV” at the County Planning website. The county will issue a final determination and schedule a public hearing after reviewing comments.
